Float or Paddle Down the Delaware with Bucks County River Country
Some vacationers who come to New Hope for a summertime getaway are looking for rest and relaxation, while others prefer a little adventure. You'll find opportunities for both at Bucks County River Country. This Delaware River outfitter has provided tubing, kayaking, canoeing and rafting excursions for 56 years. They have all the gear you need for an unforgettable day on the water — whether that's means floating peacefully downstream or riding the swift rapids.
Tubing down the Delaware River might just be the most relaxing way to cool off in the summer heat. In fact, it’s Bucks County River Country’s most popular water adventure. There are a variety of inflatable tube sizes to choose from: standard tubes, deluxe tubes with back rests, and snuggle tubes for you and a partner. You can take a 4.5-mile or a 6.3-mile journey, which will take two or three hours. As you drift along the Delaware River, soak up the sun and take in the breathtaking views of lush greenery, towering trees and serene wildlife. The calm and tranquil atmosphere provides a welcome respite and an up-close opportunity to connect with nature.
For a more active outing on the water, Bucks County River Country has kayaks and canoes available for rent, allowing you to paddle at your own pace and explore the river's nooks and crannies. You may encounter some small rapids and swift currents, but nothing you can't handle. Kayaking and canoeing trips last roughly two to three hours. There is a large assortment of kayaks to choose from: sit-in kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks, tandem kayaks and more. Or opt for an Old Town fiberglass canoe that can fit up to three people.
One more option is a rafting trip down the Delaware. No, this isn't whitewater rafting. These inflatable vessels are safe, stable boats that allow families or groups of friends to float down the river together for a three or four hour trip. No matter which rental option you choose — tubes, kayaks, canoes or rafts — Bucks County River Country ensures a safe and enjoyable experience. They will equip you with all the necessary gear, including life jackets and paddles, and offer a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure you're well-prepared for your adventure on the water.
